BHM COO about 2023 vision

The beginning of the year usually brings with it many plans and the energy to act upon them. “Since the beginning of BHM's activity, we have never lacked the energy to develop our brand, we constantly examine the needs of our clients, which is why we can react quite quickly to their changing tastes or emerging needs. Certainly, today, there are more and more demanding and complicated orders, both in terms of production and logistics. The requirements set by our contractors are also multiplying. However, we do not consider this as a problem – it is a signal to us that, nowadays, business needs to be approached creatively and thought over comprehensively so as to respond to customer requirements,” explains Operations Director Rafał Szeliga.

At BHM, we believe that our qualified Employees are the source of our strategic potential. The entire team of both production and office employees are key to the success of the company. “I believe that even in the most technologically advanced factory, people are the essence of success. With the current scale of operations, many of our plans and intentions would not have materialized if it had not been for the commitment and understanding of our employees. That is why I try to infect others with my ideals. You need to have a few core values in your life that people see and trust, such as consistency. We are constantly increasing the competences of our staff by investing in numerous industry trainings. We also enable our employees to participate in furniture fairs. Indeed, our employees greatly appreciate the possibility of self-development,” emphasizes Rafał Szeliga.

The BHM brand is also distinguished by its actions towards ecology. “In the face of rising production costs, it is increasingly difficult to maintain an advantage based merely on a good quality-to-price ratio, which is why we have clearly communicated our advantages regarding sustainable development from the very beginning of BHM's operations. First of all, we are talking about sustainable production, both in terms of minimizing the negative impact of production on the environment, as well as ensuring good working conditions and social responsibility. Our firm belief in ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) is a factor that distinguishes us from other furniture manufacturers and provides a competitive advantage. We undertake activities aimed at reducing the negative impact of our production on the natural environment - from activities related to reducing energy consumption, through a responsible raw material policy, to reducing waste, as well as through the notion underlying our company practices - which for years is to produce items with a long life cycle through the use of the most durable of materials. Emphasis on ESG is one of our priority development directions,” explains the COO. BHM has established a strong position on both the Polish and foreign furniture markets. The BHM Team's awareness of the demanding and changing reality of the furniture industry results in the continuous development of the brand. “For many years, the business was relatively predictable, both our moves and those of the competition were not a big surprise. However, we have in mind the potential challenges and threats experienced by the furniture industry in recent years. We keep our finger on the pulse and react quickly to the changing reality”, emphasizes Rafał Szeliga.
