Upholstery department

Before the finished piece of furniture reaches the customer, it goes a long way. One of the many stages of furniture production takes place in the upholstery department. All basic elements are found here, where the final shape and appearance of the product is created with particular care and attention. The upholstery process consists in applying carefully prepared covers with the highest quality of leather and fabrics to panned furniture skeletons. This is done by our experienced upholsterers, who are all experts in workmanship.

Upholstering is an age-old profession. It consists in covering furniture or interior design elements in materials and fabrics. The craft requires aesthetic sense and appropriate strength and top-class upholsterers are renown for their precision and manual abilities. Despite the huge progress of technology, a large part of the process requires knowledge of traditional techniques.

In such work, details matter. Each element must be aesthetically made and be eye-catching for the user. The upholsterer is almost like an artist who gives the work its last touches. A notable upholstering tool is the pneumatic staple gun, which allows combining individual elements with upholstery material. In their work, the upholsterer also uses a selection of hand tools. Moreover, detailing is done with the help of needles and scissors.

The work of the upholsterer involves fixing fittings and accessories to individual elements of the furniture set. The finished set is equipped with headrests or bolster pillows and cushions. After careful cleaning and final forming, the set is subjected to final quality control. The fullness of style in BHM products is the result of the work of many specialists who pay attention to the smallest details.
