Safe Internet Day!

On February 7, Europe celebrates Safe Internet Day. The campaign is aimed at initiating and promoting activities for safe access to the network, familiarizing with the issues of IT security, as well as promoting the positive use of the Internet. Our lives are increasingly moving to the Internet, and online security is becoming more and more of a challenge.

Today is the perfect opportunity to appreciate the work of the person responsible for IT security at BHM of IT - Administrator Jacek Czerpak. His presence and activities are essential for the functioning of the company. “At BHM, we have a number of multi-level protections against various types of viruses and encryption software at the interface between the Internet and the local network, and additionally on each computer. The system is centrally managed, which means that if any incident occurs on any computer, I am immediately notified and can take the necessary actions. Regardless of our strong security, we also regularly back up data containing the company's know-how and configurations necessary for the operation of the entire IT infrastructure. We create them in accordance with the 3-2-1 Backup principle, which consists in storing at least three copies of data and storing two backup copies on different devices, one of which is located in a different location than the company's headquarters,” explains Jacek Czerpak.

The proper operation of IT systems in the company is necessary to ensure the continuity of business processes. Our concern for IT security is a complex, multi-level and continuous process. At BHM, we are constantly working on strengthening security and existing IT procedures. We are up to date with the latest news in the field of cybersecurity and we react to them by taking appropriate actions in relation to our infrastructure.
