Technological progress has made production plants rely on automated solutions to increase efficiency. This reduces the fixed costs of operating the production line but also requires large investment outlays and the employment of production technologists, i.e. specialists responsible for, among others, the implementation of new technological processes.

“There is no development of a company without the technology department,” emphasizes BHM Operations Director Rafał Szeliga. In today's dynamic and competitive business environment, furniture companies must adapt to rapidly changing trends and technologies to maintain a competitive edge. In this context, the role of the Director of the Technology Department becomes crucial. “Vision, commitment, and skills are of great importance for the effective use of technology in production processes, design, and development of new solutions,” stresses Katarzyna Pilipiuk.

“As the Director of the Technology Department in a furniture company, I have a clear vision regarding the use of modern technologies in production processes. I am aware of the latest trends and innovations in the furniture industry, such as automation, 3D technologies, and artificial intelligence. The implementation of these technologies can increase production efficiency, reduce costs and shorten delivery times, which contributes to increasing the company's competitiveness,” explains the Director of the Technology Department.

BHM focuses on development in the context of introducing innovative solutions in the field of furniture design and production processes. “I consider the ability to take on new challenges and projects thanks to the ever-larger machine park and CAD/CAM software to be an extremely important element of our operation”, stresses Katarzyna Pilipiuk.

“It is crucial for me to cooperate with my Team and other production departments in order to constantly introduce new technological and construction concepts, test the implemented products and improve the existing ones. We try to provide advice and technical support to the Sales Department. Participation in industry fairs, which provide employees with valuable information about technological innovations and production processes in the furniture industry, is extremely valuable on the way to development,” explains the Director of the Technology Department.

Investing in development allows the furniture company to create unique, functional, and durable furniture that attracts customers and stands out in the competitive market. “The implementation of the ERP system in the company allowed us to optimize the technology and product manufacturing processes,” says Katarzyna Pilipiuk.

“Sometimes we think that furniture production is a complicated, fully manual process that requires 100% human involvement in creating a complete piece of furniture. At BHM, we are constantly trying to implement investments aimed at improving production activities and facilitating the work of our specialists by purchasing modern machines and implementing new technologies,” emphasizes the Director of the Technology Department.
